The Liability Program Manager is responsible for handling complex liability claims involving high dollar exposure, litigation, and coverage analysis. This role involves full life-cycle claims management, vendor oversight, legal coordination, and direct reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

You will manage strategy, lead execution, and ensure high-quality outcomes for key accounts.

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex liability claims
Present files in roundtable discussions and formal claim reviews
Monitor reserves for accuracy and timeliness
Oversee claims to ensure quality aligns with performance targets

Attend mediations, depositions, and trials as needed
Direct defense counsel and support litigation strategies
Interpret legal documents and manage litigation plans

Oversee third-party adjusters and ensure proper claim handling
Identify and manage vendor performance related to both expense and indemnity outcomes

Report claim updates to boards, claims counsel, and excess carriers
Collaborate across departments and with external clients
Travel as required

Take on additional duties and assignments as business needs evolve

Minimum 10 years of P&C industry experience
At least 10 years managing complex and litigated liability claims

Insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, AIC) a plus
Adjuster licenses where required
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to present and explain complex issues effectively
Experience managing TPAs, defense counsel, and legal process

Strong judgment in claim resolution strategy
Skilled in analyzing risk and anticipating outcomes
Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
Proactive communicator and decision-maker
Demonstrates continuous learning and technical growth
Understands full claims lifecycle and workflow
