Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors and conveyancers with residential and/or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Open new files, conduct client onboarding, and assist with client identification and verification, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks.
  • Prepare, review, and manage conveyancing documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds, property information forms, and other relevant legal documents.

  • Monitor transaction progress, maintain accurate case records, and ensure deadlines and key milestones are met.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports on title and the identification of potential property issues for review by the supervising solicitor or conveyancer.
  • Support the preparation of completion statements and assist with the coordination of exchange and completion.
  • Assist with post-completion matters, including Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) submissions where applicable, Land Registry applications, and registration of property ownership.
  • Maintain accurate electronic files, update case management systems, and ensure all documentation is properly recorded.
  • Follow relevant UK conveyancing procedures, data protection requirements, confidentiality standards, and internal compliance policies.
  • Provide administrative support and contribute to the efficient management of the conveyancing team.
