Support and success roles are the ongoing relationship with customers after the sale: troubleshooting, onboarding, renewals and escalation. Technical support sits here too, as does the success side that owns retention.
Support is among the longest-established remote functions and hires across every timezone. SaaS companies dominate; the technical end concentrates at developer-tools and infrastructure vendors.
Check the hours honestly. Support is the function most likely to require fixed shifts or weekend coverage regardless of where you sit, and a posting that says "remote" without saying "flexible" usually means a rota.
